10 years later

10 years ago I was unemployed and sleeping when the phone rang.  My friend Dan called and said a plane flew into the World Trade Center. I went back to sleep for a minute until my brain digested what he had said.  I turned on the TV and spent the day watching in horror as that day's events unfolded.  I consider this the first moment in my life that I remember when something "significant" occured in history.  It still stings, even ten years later.

The Bubbs return to the Big O.

So I'm 41 minutes early for work, and I love to blog in the PayPal parking lot so why not put up a post about this weekend?
Mini-Bubbs/Little Bubbs aka Toliver was so good all weekend.  The only problems he seemed to have were an insatible hunger for McDonalds and a propencity for efficiently utilizing every piece of soil in a given area to get himself dirty.  He finds creative ways and places to get dirty.  But he is five years old, so mastering a skill is always a good thing.
My Bubbs still loves me.  I figured that 4 days multiplied by 30 Webbs would have her not talking to me for a while, but not the case.  Shannon had a great time and so did I.
There was something said to Shannon this week that touched me when she said it.  One of my relatives asked her, "What did you do to Paul?"
"What do you mean?" she replied.
"He's different...keep it up."
I'm happy.  That's what's different.

I meant to post this a while ago, but late is better than never.
